Frank is recognised as an expert in restructuring and insolvency law, and one who provides decisive practical solutions. He is an experienced and highly regarded Restructuring & Insolvency Lawyer.

Frank’s experience is in transactional and contentious insolvency, acting for lenders, investors, creditors, directors, OMBs, borrowers and office holders on a wide range of transactions. He often represents a wide range of well-known firms in the market.

He specialises in providing managed solutions in financially distressed scenarios to assist OMBs, companies, directors, lenders, investors and other stakeholders, as well as insolvency office holders.

He makes it his business to understand and explore the needs and ultimate aims of clients, before delivering clear advice and practical solutions.

His particular strengths are assisting lenders and investors with managed exits from distressed lending/investments in a way that minimises losses and (where possible) preserves viable businesses. Also assisting OMBs and directors in navigating choppy waters and minimising their personal risks, while trying to safeguard their business.

Frank has particular experience assisting with the restructuring of care homes & dental practices and assisting with financial distress in the education and charities sector

Work highlights

ADMINISTRATION

Leading the team advising both the secured funder and administrators of a substantial and complex office to residential property development block, where the developer went into administration part way through the build and the building was subject to Grenfell tower cladding issues; some units were already sold and occupied and other future units were unbuilt but partially paid for.


LIQUIDATION

Advising the liquidators of a long standing and well known book publishing company on the sale of various assets, including its intellectual property and archive rights, and dealing with various competing party claims to other assets under its control.


ADMINISTRATION AND PERSONAL DATA ISSUES

Leading the team advising the secured lender and administrators of a chain of dental practices, including dealing with a split sale of the practices, CQC related issues and addressing and formulating a strategy to deal with complex data protection issues surrounding the transfer of sensitive personal data (medical records).


BANKRUPTCY

Advising the trustees in bankruptcy of a bankrupt multi-millionaire property developer (who appeared on Channel 4’s Secret Millionaire) and, in particular, assisting with the complex divorce proceedings the Bankrupt was mid-way through when he was declared bankrupt, and his interests in various properties in the portfolio held in his wife’s name (circa 140 properties), as well as dealing with various third-party claims to security over them.
