He understands financial institutions having worked at NatWest and as UK general counsel at Santander and has expertise in property finance, project finance (especially renewable energy), acquisition finance, general banking as well as ‘bad book’ restructurings.
Michael is known for providing solutions to unusual situations and getting the deal done.

Acting for high net worth and other investors on various property transactions typically providing loans via a Jersey trust structure to buy sites for development and sale.
GLOBAL BANK INVOLVED IN SOCIAL VENUE EXPANSION
Acting for a global bank in relation to government CBILS and other loans to a well-known social sports and entertainment venue for their expansion in London and the US. The raising of third-party investment involved complex intercreditor issues to ensure our client retained first priority security ranking.

RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT FINANCE SPECIALISTS
Advising on more than 30 transactions for a funder in the renewable energy project finance sector specialising in the construction and operation of anaerobic digestion plants in the UK. Complex structured transactions on a club as well as bi-lateral basis where equity and debt investment were frequently involved.
